Laura Escuela narradora oral profesional vive en Tenerife tierra de atlántico y altura, aunque el cuento la lleva en barco y avión a cualquier lugar.
Se formó como Maestra de Educación Infantil y Psicopedagogía, de modo que sus raíces parten de la Educación.
En la Universidad conoció el Festival Internacional del cuento de Los Silos, donde Ernesto Rodríguez Abad la invitó a escuchar y más adelante a contar un cuento por primera vez. Después no ha podido dejarlo.
Su formación y experiencias se complementan con estudios de piano y solfeo y con el trabajo con personas con diversidad funcional.
«Lo que la Tata cuenta» es una sesión de cuentos para público familiar (niños y niñas de más 3 de años y sus familias) repleta de historias tradicionales y libros álbum cuyos protagonistas son personajes femeninos de lo más variados. El primer cuento sirve de marco: la Tatatatatatatarabuela tortuga, es decir: la Tata, narra historias a las pequeñas tortugas: cuentos de brujas, gallinas, madres valientes y madres chillonas… todas tienen cabida en esta sesión abierta y disparatada.
