Haizea Martiartu saxofoi-jotzaile, moldatzaile eta konposatzaile bat da, Bilbon jaioa (1991). Bartzelonara bizitzera joatearekin batera hasi zuen karrera profesionala, han hasi baitzen Taller de Músics delakoan ikasten, eta ondoren Catalunyako Goi Mailako Musika Eskolan eman segida.
Jazzaren eta musika modernoaren arloan garatu du bere jarduera, eta big band txikietan nahiz handietan parte hartu izan du. Talde horietan, artista handiekin jardun izan da elkarlanean, eta agertoki eta jaialdi ospetsu hainbatetan jo izan du.
Interpretatzaile moldakor gisa definitu izan dute, baina estudioko musikari moduan ere lan egiten du. Gaur den egunean, konposiziorako eta musika-tradizio batzuetarako eta besteetarako grinarekin, Euskal Herriko herri kantuen kantutegiari egin dio omenaldia lider gisa egin duen bere lehenbiziko diskoan: Folketik Jazzera Ensemble Hauxe du, orain artean, bere proiekturik pertsonalena.
Haizea Martiartu es una saxofonista, arreglista y compositora nacida en Bilbao (1991). Su carrera profesional comenzó al trasladarse a Barcelona, cuando empezó a estudiar en Taller de Músics y posteriormente en la Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya.
Ha desarrollado su actividad en la escena del jazz y la música moderna, participando tanto en pequeños como en grandes big bands. Dentro de estas formaciones ha colaborado con grandes artistas y ha pasado por diversos escenarios de nombre y festivales.
Definida como una intérprete versátil, también trabaja como músico de estudio. Actualmente, apasionada por la composición y la fusión de diferentes tradiciones músicales, apuesta por rendir homenaje al cancionero popular de Euskal Herria a través de su primer primer disco como líder, Folketik Jazzera Ensemble. Este es, hasta ahora, su proyecto más personal.
