La celebración del solsticio de verano como tal data de 5000 años antes de Cristo.
Los antiguos griegos definían este acontecimiento como una puerta de entrada a otra dimensión. El sol merma día a día porque penetra en la dimensión del espíritu de los humanos.
En esta fecha los griegos también rendían culto a Apolo, Dios del Sol, padre de la medicina del alma, al que invocaban encendiendo hogueras de carácter purificador.
Numerosas leyendas también dejan constancia de la existencia de Puertas invisibles. Dicen que los espíritus más puros, los guías de luz logran también acceder a nuestra dimensión durante el festejo del solsticio para comunicarse con nosotros, a través de diferentes trabajos como algunos de los que vamos a realizar en este encuentro.
En la cultura celta los druidas celebraban un ritual que consistía entre otras cosas en encender hogueras buscando la bendición para las tierras y sus frutos, así como buenos augurios para los enamorados y fertilidad.
En la noche más cósmica del año, la del solsticio de verano, la atmósfera se carga de un aliento mágico. Es también la noche de los signos Zodiacales. Cada signo astrológico tiene sus características, sus cualidades y sus defectos. Podemos aprovechar el ritual del Fuego purificador para quemar, liquidar, deshacernos de las actitudes que limitan nuestra personalidad, los lastres del pasado o situaciones que ya no deseamos vivir.
